    You must be one of the lucky ones that's still on a very old ($50 plan) when B2B didn't exist. These plans are non existent now and base package starts at $199/USD per month with B2B not included in base package costing an additional $50. So you are currently getting B2B for free.   


    We grandfather old packages so new pricing does not apply to existing customers.


    Notifications module was developed recently and was not available back when we were offering the $50 base packages which you are currently on I assume.

  • Went through the portal again with a client...

    1 would like the option to view more than 9 products per page, could be 18 or all
    2 in order to establish if an item is in stock or not one has to click on that item either in the'store' or within the cart..
    3 if a field was added in the cart to say in or out of stock then customers could elect to delete the  out of stock items meaning a greater immediate spend
    4 when completing an order why are the address and billing fields not prepopulated - this info is held within dear?
    5 and i think this has been requested elsewhere there should be a facility to export the order or email it so the client has a record other than just in dear
    6 This has been requested elsewhere... need a field for 'required date' and customer reference or purchase order number
    7 Product description and weight and dimensions need to be shown in the 'store'
    8 the payment information should be default from that within the customer record in Dear
    9 the delivery method should be again a default field, but I can see why others may want the client to decide 
    10 an email should be sent to the supplier administrator once a client has placed an order
    11 option on the order would be preferred 1 deliver all including out of stock items together (Place  on Backorder) 2 Deliver stock items and backorder out of stock items 3 Backorder Out os Stock items and carry on shopping
    12 There should be a field to identify who entered the order for multi sites and drop down for delivery addresses
    13 ability to store favorites
    14 ability to identify New products
    15 ability to place forward orders
    16 ability for customer to export reports in excel relating to date ranges of previous orders
    17 ability to switch on off price on screen visibility so can be used as online catalogue to trade clients retail customers while instore

    A handful of requests:


    (1) Can we get a column for Payment Method on the All Sales Screen

    (2) Can Sales Orders received through the B2B Portal automatically ordered by SKU rather than alphabetically?

    (3) Can the Export of Customers from the All Customers screen be limited to selected customers, rather than every customer every time?

    (4) Can the search function on the All Customer screen be improved so that we can search by multiple by parameters (keywords, tags etc.) For example wholesale Victoria

    (5) Can records on the Sales, Customers and Products screen be navigated through forward and back arrows, rather than having to return to the All Sales, Customers or Products screens?


    Appreciate your consideration and continued improvement.

  • Would be great to be able to add the customer's personal link to the portal as a mail merge field. That way customers can have a direct link to the portal from any document we email to them.

  • ADDITIONAL STOCK AVAILABILITY DISPLAY

    As well as "In Stock" (green), " Out of Stock" (red) and "Display Quantity" (green), if there is a stock outage, but also a quantity on order, the B2B Portal should display "Coming Soon" (amber)

    "NEW" ITEM, or "SALE" FLAG
    An optional "NEW" flag on each item that has been added to the B2B Portal within a user-variable time period, the location of the flag should be variable also.
    eg: "NEW" full-width banner under item description, or top right/left "NEW" in a triangle (colours defined in "appearance" settings)
    A secondary and similar idea could be used for "SALE" items for a user-variable time period after the list price has decreased.
    The text could be user-defined also to allow for appropriation.

  • We're currently paying $175/month and still have to pay $50 for the Notifications module which I found very disappointing. $50 per month for the base plan is a great deal and something to hold onto Nigel.


    I agree with Jonathan Kropf that the functionality is immature. It doesn't seem to be able to fulfill some of our basic use cases:

    1. Notify account manager when B2B order is received
    2. Send invoice to B2B user when order is placed but not paid immediately
    3. Notify account manager when B2B order is paid
    4. Send invoice to B2B user when order is paid
    5. Notify inventory manager when low stock threshold is reached (not on every stock movement which it looks like it does right now)

     

    DEAR Staff, can you please tell me if I'm going to be able to achieve these things with the Notifications module?

  • In addition to Ross's post I would like to be able to add 'available {Date}' if not in stock (date available would be fed from PO required date).  I know some others don't want this so it could be switchable or worst case scenario free text.


    I would also like to see the option that a stock item can be 'deprecated when stock is zero' to take account of stock which will be discontinued.

  • We were looking at potential B2B solutions late last year and noticed that Dear had just launched their own. Seeing as we use Dear for our inventory it seemed like a no brainer to give it a try. 


    It was a bit lacking in features, but looking at their own development road map it seemed like it wouldn't be long before it was at a stage that we could make use of it. 


    A year later and there has been a single update, which came over six months ago. We are still missing really basic features that would actually make this usable for us and future updates don't seem to be coming any time soon and communication from the Dear team has been pretty much zero during this time.


    This has really soured our opinions of Dear Inventory and pretty much means we will soon be cancelling our subscription and moving elsewhere. 


    Simply not good enough!

    Please note this was the initial release and we will defiantly be adding extra functionality to notifications module this year based on user suggestions.


    I have created a separate topic for this called Notifications Module and have copied your suggestions there.


    If you come up with any other suggestions please feel free to post them there and we will update the topic later this year with all planned enhancements.

  • - Customize invitation email - otherwise it looks like junk mail..

    - Show sale prices: Price $100, Sale Price $85

    - Show product details on the product page (description , size, weight, etc)

    - Show SKU's (everywhere - this is B2B!)

    (1)  The ability to send out B2B Portal invites to multiple customers at once would be very useful.  


    This would actually be a bad implementation because if there's an unacceptable number of messages marked as spam by recipients it might lead to the DEAR email servers blacklisted by email service providers (and subsequent messages sent to the spam folder or blocked).


    A better option is to have the invitation link exportable in the customer CSV file so it can be added to email campaigns via 3rd party providers such as MailChimp or Constant Contact. (if the customer already accepted the invitation and the link expired the exported link can be directly to the portal login page).

  • Please can you update any considered amends to the B2B portal...


    1 need to add product description and date eg sizes/weights

    2 need to add a icon that highlights NEW products

    3 would like feature that will unpublish item if marked deletion and stock is zero

    4 would like to see 'due in stock date' if no current stock and is on PO

    5 would like a more prominent 'order now' butter

    6 would like editable banner for highlighting new additions, news, price changes etc
