Managing DEAR Reports

DEAR's Reporting Module allows generation of the following types of reports:

  • Purchase reports
  • Sale reports
  • Inventory reports
  • Financial reports
  • Audit reports

To access the DEAR reporting module, click the Reports menu.

To open a specific report, click it from the list.

The report header will contain the various data fields available in the report with a relevant description.

Set the date range and currency for the report. You may also filter the information to eliminate some of the data on the screen. In addition, you can export the data to Excel, PDF, or Rich Text Format for further analysis. When saving to Excel, you can choose to export it with or without totals.

To ensure that the default layout remains available for your use in case you want to go back to it later, you are recommended to save your customised report as a new layout.

To remove data, click and drag the data header out of the report and into the data header space.

To display more fields that can be used for the report, click More Fields, select the field(s) you want to add to the report from the list, then drag and drop them into the report.

If you are satisfied with your customisations, click Save Layout As, enter a name for the new layout on the window, then click Save.

In case you want to go back to the previously saved report layout, e.g. default, click Reset Layout.
